Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY

Non-surgical rhinoplasty or “nose fillers” can temporarily change the shape of your nose by smoothing out any unwanted bumps, lift or straighten the nose. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is performed using dermal filler injections or the use of a cannula to direct product to each desired plane.
Your practitioner will advise you on how the dermal filler could be injected into the nose area to camouflage bumps and small defects, raise a flat bridge or drooping tip or make a crooked nose look straighter and more symmetrical.

To create the ideal shape for the nose your practitioner will use a range of dermal fillers which have higher densities for your treatment. All fillers used consist of local anaesthetic gel which minimises discomfort. Your practitioner will perform a thorough assessment prior to treatment including taking a group of dynamic photos. These dynamic photos will show how a range of facial expressions affect the shape and movement of your nose, how the nose is viewed front on and on your facial side profile, the shape of the nose from the oblique angle (45 degrees left/right), the view of the nose when your Chin is pointing downwards and when you have your eyes looking upwards. This will provide you and the practitioner a holistic treatment plan. Once the treatment is conducted the treatment results are immediate, and results can last up to 6 to 15 months depending on the dermal filler injected.

The Nonsurgical rhinoplasty dermal filler used by your practitioner will always contain lidocaine, this is a local anaesthetic providing a more comfortable and less painful experience. You will not need to take any extra pain relief prior, during or after treatment. You may experience the treatment as a mild discomfort, but it is a well-tolerated procedure. In addition, your practitioner could apply a local anaesthetic cream (numbing cream) to the treatment area for the additional numbing effect.

When your practitioner performs Nonsurgical rhinoplasty, the practitioner will be using reversible hyaluronic acid fillers pre-filled with lidocaine. There is a range of dermal filler products your practitioner will advise you on regarding performance, expectations, results, and longevity. During your consultation, your practitioner will advise you from the range of products below, which is best suited for your treatment outcome and expectations.

• Teoxane
• Restylane Define
• Intraline M range

Dermal fillers are a safe procedure if basic safety is understood. When your practitioner is performing the non-surgical rhinoplasty, they will ensure that all-important steps are taken and understood regarding how to prevent, recognise and treat the area safely, reducing any rare and serious complications.

Your practitioner will carry out a full assessment of your facial profile before treatment is delivered to achieve your desired look. The Practitioner will ensure that the nose after treatment still has a natural look and avoid overtreatment. This is because over treating this area can cause an unnatural appearance. Therefore, the practitioner will inform you of the placement of the filler and assess the shape prior to injecting.

Your practitioner may discuss other facial features which may affect your nasal appearance. These areas could include:

• Chin projection- when viewed in profile, an under projected chin may magnify the perceived size of the nose.
• Contour of lips and philtrum- Full lips and a well-defined philtrum improve the nasolabial angle.
• Malar contour-cheeks- Enhancement of the malar/mid-face volume makes the nose appear smaller.
